The Atlas

Field Guide

Every mark on the map, once: what it is, what it means, and whether it is settled. Return here whenever the Voyage names a place you want to look up.

Official Ratified in Knowledge Islands Principal
Agreed Agreed, not yet enacted into Knowledge Islands Principal

An agreed entry has the owner's agreement but is not yet written into Knowledge Islands Principal, so the rest of this site still uses the enacted word. The Port shows how an entry becomes official: Principal's Symbol Library once listed Harbour, an integration point, and Port, operational systems, as two symbols, and the design system agreed to fold them into one Port with four modes. GDR-KI-PRINCIPAL-010 enacted it, retiring the Harbour, and split the Lighthouse, now guidance only, from the Council Hall, which means governance. GDR-KI-PRINCIPAL-013 made the Causeway the translation layer and added the Mill, and GDR-KI-PRINCIPAL-014 made seven roles official. Entries still under discussion are not shown here.
